What’s in a Name?
Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.
I think the title of my blog states its intent fairly well.
I’ve always liked to write and throughout school I always wrote and won writing awards. In high school, I wrote a couple of plays for my drama class and was pleased as punch that they performed both of them. Fun stuff watching your work being performed. In college a took a couple of creative writing classes and one of the things I had to do is write every day. It doesn’t matter what it is — just write EVERY DAY. In one of my writing classes we had to keep a journal and I noticed that a lot of our ‘nonsense’ had the makings of great short stories, poems, flash fiction, novels. Maybe I should have called it Rambling, since that’s what I’m doing now.
FOCUS!!
Anyway, if I remember correctly ‘A Short A Day’ came about because ‘daily shorts’ was taken and I seriously planned to write a short story a day, but unfortunately it really hasn’t happened that way at all. In actuality, I’ve been think about changing the name.

Ah the plans we make with full intentions of fulfilling them all. I wish you well as you find your name as well as the direction for your writing future.
Thanks Joe, I appreciate the encouragement. Finding fun, clever names that’s truly indicative of you and your blog is not an easy task.
your title made me think of a saying I grew up with, and use almost daily: “a day late and a dollar short.” Don’t ask me why – must be that random word association thing that happens all the time in my brain.
Enjoyed reading this – I have the same trouble with daily writing…even tried the journal thing. That lasted almost two entire days. Boy, was I on a roll then!
LOL! Sometimes I feel like that in my writing.
Thanks for stopping by and I’m glad you enjoyed the post. I hope you’ll stop by again and enjoy my other writings.
You can count on it!
I like it! Keep writing!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it and I hope you’ll back again soon and let me know what you think of my other stories and musings.
