My Week Described through Song

This weeks WP Daily Post Prompt is:

Tell us how your week went by putting together a playlist of  five songs that represent it.

I start everyday with this song, which help some get in the right frame of mind to deal with whatever comes up.  “God is Good” by Regina Bell.

“Crazy” by Gnarles Barkley probably really sums up my week in a nutshell.  I believe I work with four of the unhappiest women in the world.  They are full of drama and literally will drive you mad, if you let them.  You know that old saying, ”Misery loves company.”  That’s them and they’re not happy unless you’re miserable too.  And let me tell you they do everything in their power to make you just as miserable as they are.

This is actually my favorite version, as it’s haunting and more serious than the uptempo one; which is more fun and puts a smile on your face.

I don’t know if this really describes how my week went, but it definitely describes how I felt at some point during the week — “Some Nights” by Fun

I find that the older I get it’s really the little things that make me happy.  For example, a friend of mine called me from out of the blue, which he never does and we laughed, talked, and laughed some more for nearly two hours and by the time we got of the phone we were still laughing.

So, the next song that describes at least a portion of week is “Little Things” by India.Arie

I try to always have fun at whatever I’m doing, so Cyndi Lauper’s ”Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” is probably appropriate for describing last week, this coming week, and any other week.

  1. I loved that you added Cyndi Lauper “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”! Good list. :)

  2. Thanks Mama Bear for stopping by and I’m glad you like the inclusion. That song is my mantra. What’s the saying, “All work and no play makes (insert name) a dull boy/girl.

  3. Seems like a fun week.Good playlist. Crazy is one fun song!
