Above the Clouds
My take on this weeks Friday Fictioneers . . . And if you haven’t done so already make sure to link up and read what others have come up with.
Jake was a dreamer. I shouldn’t use past tense. He’s still alive. I feel it deep down. You could find him in the park lying on his blanket looking at those big fluffy cotton ball-like clouds. He wondered if they were like that on the other side and if they were soft like cotton balls.
I encouraged him to go skydiving. The one thing I regret most of all.
He still lies on that blanket, looking up at the cotton ball-like clouds and I wonder if he got his answer or if he even dreams anymore.
