Embark

I was turned on to a new flash fiction challenge by fellow blogger Joe Owens of Joe’s Musings.  It’s called Flash in the Pan, which has a themed quarterly publication. This quarter’s theme is “Finding the Path”, but there’s a catch — only the first 250 linked writer’s will make it into the publication.  So, write quick.  Flash in the Pan gives a word that ties into the theme and each word has a maximum flash word count.

For this challenge, I chose ‘Embark’ with its 50 max word count.  Enjoy and make sure you stop by and read what other flasher’s have written and of course if dare join the fun.

Kent knew it was time to embark on a new journey.  He and Bridgette hadn’t been happy for a long time, and they decided he must go.  He checked himself into the hospital and eagerly awaited morning.  By tomorrow’s end Kent would be no more.  Only Bridgette would remain.

Word Count: 49

Thanks for stopping by Troy and I’m glad you enjoyed the spin. Ah yes indeed, what sort of man was Kent is the question. 🙂

Such a good spin! And I have to know, what sort of man was Kent to simply “go” like that?
