It’s Over

It was an unusually cold fall day as Jackie waited for the estate agent to arrive. She had forgotten how cold it could get here and was completely unprepared for the frigid temperature. When the agent arrived 10 minutes later, Jackie could barely feel her toes and her fingers were completely numb. Jackie (that’s what I called him) was an average ordinary kid who could steal your heart with those big brown, puppy dog eyes and a smile that lit up the room. But something happened a few months ago that took away those vibrant eyes and his smile. I asked, “what’s going on?”
